Abstract

CV. D’Russa merupakan perusahaanyang bergerak dalam bidang produksi tas kulit yang beralamat di Bandung, Jawa Barat. Pada proses pembuatan tas kulit terdapat masalah pada pengeleman tas waistbag kiowa yaitu kurang keringnya lem. Tujuan dari penulisan karya akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadi dan mendapatkan solusi yang dapat dilakukan atas permasalahan, guna mengurangi dan mencegah terjadinya kurang keringnya lempada komponen tas waistbag kiowa pada proses pengeleman.Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, praktik kerja langsung, studi pustaka dan internet. Berdasarkan analisis serta beberapa metode yang digunakan, penulis menemukan penyebab permasalahan kurang keringnya lem, yaitu kandungan minyak dalam kulit pull up yang cukup banyak, pengasaran yang menggunakan cutter, ageing atau waktu yang digunakan untuk pengeringan lem kurang lama. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut penulis menyarankan memilih kulit pull up yang tidak mengandung banyak minyak, pembuatan SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) pada bagian pengeleman. Karyawan diberi penjelasan, pelatihan dan pengawasan sehingga lebih memperhatikan pada saat pengeleman.Penambahan alat yang digunakan untuk pengasaran kulit dan mengganti potongan plastik dengan yang lebih standar, serta palu diganti dengan rolling press untuk mengurangi dan mencegah kurang keringnya lempada komponen tas waistbag kiowa. CV. D’Russa is a compony working on leather bag production which is located in Bandung, West Java. In the process of producing leather bag, there is a problem with sticking on kiowa waistbag bag, that the stick is less dry. The objective of this research is to know the cause of the problem and to find the solution to overcome the problem, which aims to minimize and avoid the problem with lack of dry in sticking kiowa waistbag. The method of data collection is by observation, interview, documentation, directly working practice, literature study and browsing on internet. Based on the analysis and some methods used, the researcher found that cause of the problem with lacking of dry is that the oil substance in pull up leather is too much, roughing the bag with cutter, and the short time used in drying the glue. To overcome tht problem, the researcher suggests to choose pull up leather which is less oil, making SOP ( Standard Operating Procedure) in sticking process. The employees are given explanation, training, and monitoring so that they become more attentive in sticking process. Adding equipment for roughing the leather and replace the plastic cutting with something standard with it, and replacing hammer with rolling press to minimize and avoid the lacking dry on kiowa waistbag bag.
