Abstract

PT. Venamon merupakan perusahaan di bidang persepatuan khususnya sepatu PDH, PDL, sandal dan sepatu sport yang telah dipercaya untuk melayani beberapa institusi pemerintahan ataupun swasta seperti militer dan kepolisian. Kegiatan magang dilaksanakan di PT. Venamon pada tanggal 18 Februari sampai dengan 15 April 2019 dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui permasalahan pada proses sewing upper sepatu PDL Zephyrus. Proses sewing upper sepatu PDL Zephyrus terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu proses pemberian marking, penyesetan, perakitan counter, perakitan vamp dan tongue, perakitan quarter dan vamp dan finishing. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data primer yang terdiri dari metode observasi, metode interview dan metode dokumentasi. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan data sekunder yaitu terdiri dari kepustakaan dan internet. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa masalah yang paling sering muncul yang terjadi pada proses sewing upper sepatu PDL Zephyrus yaitu kemiringan titik derby. Faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya kemiringan titik derby pada proses sewing yaitu faktor manusia dan metode. Solusi untuk mengatasi kemiringan titik derby yaitu dengan membuat SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) yang lebih spesifik dan memberikan pengarahan kembali tentang instruksi kerja sebelum proses produksi. PT. Venamon is a company in the field of footwear especially PDH shoes, PDL shoes, sandals and sport shoes that has been trusted to serve several government and private institutions such as the military and police. The internship was held at PT. Venamon on February 18 to April 15, 2019 with the aim to find out the problem with the process of the upper sewing of Zephyrus PDL shoes. The process of sewing upper Zephyrus PDL shoes consists of several stages, namely the process of marking, setting, counter assembly, vamp and tongue assembly, quarter and vamp assembly and finishing. The data collection methods that ware used are primary data collection which is consist of observation, interview and documented. While the secondary data collection method is consists of literature and the internet. The results of the analysis show that the most dominant problem that occurred in the process of the upper sewing of Zephyrus PDL shoes was the slope of derby point. Factors that influence the derby point slope in the sewing process are man and methods. The solution to overcome the slope of the derby point is creating a more specific SOP (standard operating procedure) and reminding the operator about the work instructions before the production process.
