Abstract

Penulisan karya akhir ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan permasalahan yang ada di perusahaan. CV Sari Banteng Mulya merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi artikel kulit golf glove pearl white, batting glove dan garment dari kulit mentah domba atau kambing hingga kulit jadi. Salah satu standar yang harus diperhatikan dan dipenuhi oleh produsen kulit yaitu adalah standar konsumen. Dalam memproduksi kulit garment salah satu standar konsumen yang kurang memenuhi adalah kuat sobek sehingga perlu dilakukan salah satu alternatif perbaikan yakni pada proses fatliquoring. Bahan baku yang digunakan untuk perbaikan adalah kulit wet blue domba sebanyak 5 lembar dengan ketebalan shaving 0,6 mm dan kualitas R. Penggunaan peramit LSW new untuk artikel garment sesuai dengan Technical Datat Sheet (TDS) adalah 3-4%, sedangkan penggunaan pada formulasi awal adalah 2%. Oleh karena itu, untuk meningkatkan nilai kuat sobek maka ditambahkan peramit LSW sebanyak 1% sehingga penggunaan totalnya adalah 3%. Kulit hasil perbaikan dilakukan uji organoleptis oleh pembimbing lapangan dan hasil kuat sobek dinyatakan memenuhi standar produsen., kemudian untuk hasil yang lebih akurat dilakukan uji fisis di Balai Besar Kulit, Karet, dan Plastik. Hasil uji kuat sobek meningkat dari 12,6 N/mm menjadi 21,86 N/mm, hasil ini sudah sesuai dengan nilai kuat sobek SNI 4593-2011 untuk syarat mutu kulit jaket domba/kambing. The purpose of final internship is to solve the problems that exist within the company. CV Sari Banteng Mulya is a company that manufactures of golf glove pearl white, batting glove and garment from raw sheepskin or goatskin into leather. One of standard that must be noticed and realized by produsen is customer standard. In producing garment, one of standard customer that not fulfilling is tear strength, so it is necessary to do an alternative improvement in the fatliquoring process. The raw materials that used for improvement is 5 pieces of sheep wet blue, thickness of shaving is 0,6 mm and R quality. Peramit LSW new that use for these improvement according in Technical Data Sheet (TDS) is 3-4%, while in the first formulation using 2%. Therefore, for increase tear strength a Peramit LSW new is added by 1% , so the total usage is 3%. The improvement garment or trial garment carried out organoleptic test by supervisor and the supervisor stated that fulfilled as produsen standard. Then, for more accurate result a physical test was carried out at the Center for Leather, Rubber, and Plastics. The tear strength increase from 12,6 N/mm to 21,86 N/mm. this result accordance of tear strength SNI 4593-2011 for the sheep/goat leather jacket.
