Abstract

Penataan penyimpanan pola departemen RnD dalam industri merupakan salah satu faktor yang berperan penting untuk meningkatan efisiensi dan efektif dalam proses pembuatan prototipe sepatu sebelum dilakukan produksi massal. Karya akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mencari solusi dari permasalahan penataan penyimpanan pola sepatu. Permasalahan yang ditemui saat magang selama 2 bulan di PT. Bagoes Tjipta Karya yaitu sulitnya pengaksesan terhadap pola dan prototipe yang disebabkan penataan fasilitas tidak rapi dan tidak terstruktur. Tahap awal dalam mencari karya akhir ini adalah mengumpulkan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan praktek kerja langsung. Tahap berikutnya mengolah data yang ada serta menganalisis data dengan studi pustaka. Hasil yang diperoleh sebagai usulan perbaikan penataan fasilitas yaitu penataan menggunakan metode 5S. Metode yang mudah untuk dipahami dan diikuti banyak partisipan, 5S adalah Seiri (Ringkas), Seiton (Penataan), Seiso (Pembersihan), Seiketsu (Pemantapan), Shitsuke (Pembiasaan). Perbaikan yang diusulkan adalah pengelompokkan pola berdasarkan tahun dan divisi serta pengelompokkan prototipe berdasarkan waktu pembuatan dan pergantian penempatan prototipe di rak setiap 3 bulan sekali. Dengan demikian diharapkan dalam pencarian pola lebih cepat dan prototipe mudah diakses serta tempat penyimpanan terlihat rapi. The pattern storage arrangement of RnD department in industry is one of the factors that plays a role in increase the efficiency of time in the process of making shoes prototype before production in large quantities. This final work aims to identify and find solutions of unstructured facility management issues. The problems found when a work training during 2 month that arise is the difficulty of accessing the pattern and prototype due to the arrangement of facilities that untidy and unstructured. The initial stage in finding solutions is to collect data with observation, interviews, documentation, and direct work practices. The next stage to process the existing data and analyze the data with literature study. The results obtained as a proposed improvement of facilities structuring is arrangement using the 5S method. As easy method to be understood and followed by many participants, 5S is Seiri (Sort), Seiton (Set In Order), Seiso (Clean and Check), Seiketsu (Standardize), Shitsuke (Self Discipline). The proposed improvements are grouping of patterns by year and division as well as the grouping of prototypes based on the time of manufacture and replacement of prototype placement on the shelves once every 3 months. As the result, it is expected that pattern can be found faster, prototype is easily accessible and storage place look neat.
