Abstract

PT. Sepatu Bata Tbk merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang produksi sepatu. PT. Sepatu Bata Tbk sendiri memiliki beberapa merk yang salah satunya adalah merk B first, didalamnya memproduksi sepatu sekolah. Salah satu produk B First yaitu sepatu pump, untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk, diperlukan langkah perbaikan pada produk yang cacat.Setelah dianalisis, kecacatan produk terjadi pada bagian toe puff dan stiffener. Metode pelaksanaan tugas akhir dalam pemecahan masalah ini adalah dengan memanfaatkan informasi yang diperoleh saat praktik kerja, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil pengumpulan data sampel teridentifikasi bahwa terdapat cacat pada bagian toe puff dan stiffener yang mengakibatkan x-ray dan upper kempot. Kecacatan ini diakibatkan oleh material toe puff dan stiffener yang bersifat lunak jika dipanaskan, dengan material upper yang juga bersifat lunak, mengakibatkan x-ray dan upper kempot. Masalah ini dapat diselesaikan dengan menurunkan suhu mesin press bagian toe yang semula 200 ºC menjadi 180 ºC dan menyeset toe puff dan stiffener selebar 15 mm menggunakan mesin seset agar hasil sesetan stabil. PT. Sepatu Bata Tbk is a company on shoe production. PT. Sepatu Bata Tbk has some brand one of them is B First, in which it produces school shoes. One of the B First products is pump shoe. To improve product quality, a corrective step is needed on defective products, after analysis of product defects occurs in the toe puff and stiffener section. The method of implementing the final assignment in solving this problem is by utilizing information obtained during work practice, data collection is done by the method of observation, interviews, documentation and literature. The results of the collection of sample data identified that there were defects in the toe puff and stiffener which resulted in an x-ray and upper flat. This defect is caused by toe puff and stiffener material which is soft when heated, with upper material which is also soft, resulting in a x-ray and upper flat. This problem can be solved by lowering the press machine temperature on the toe which was originally 200ºC to 180ºC and skiving toe puff and stiffener 15 mm wide using a skiving machine so the results are stable.
