Abstract

Tas menjadi salah satu faktor penunjang penampilan seorang wanita. Tas memiliki bentuk yang bermacam-macam. Gendhis Natural Bags banyak memproduksi handbag dengan bahan material Mendong (anyaman enceng gondok). Tetapi karena adanya kesalahan dalam proses perakitan tas khususnya dibidang pengeleman sangat mempengaruhi keindahan produk tas, juga kualitas produk yang baik. Metode yang digunakan pada proses ini adalah pengeleman dengan manual. Masalah yang ditemukan dalam proses perakitan tas yaitu pengeleman yang kurang merata, exess lem, penempelan komponen yang kurang optimal. Kegiatan magang yang dilakukan pada tanggal 11 Februari 2019 – 11 April 2019 dengan judul “Proses Perakitan pada Pembuatan Tas Wanita dengan Bahan Mendong di Gendhis Natural Bags, Gamping, Sleman, Yogyakarta.” Metode yang digunakan adalah praktek kerja langsung, observasi, dan wawancara untuk pengambilan data. Dari berbagai masalah yang terjadi pada proses pengeleman yang kurang merata, exess lem, merupakan yang paling sering terjadi penyebabnya adalah metode yang digunakan dalampengaplikasian lem pada material yang digunakan kurang tepat, yaitu dengan metode pengeleman dengan bantuan media karton yang dipotong lalu digunakan untuk aplikator pengolesan lem, sehingga banyak bagian yang tidak terkena lem dan hasilnya tidak maksimal. Maka dari itu guna menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut, penulis memberikan solusi berupa penggunaan media botol pada metode pengeleman. Bags become one of the factors supporting a woman's appearance. Bags have various forms. Gendhis Natural Bags produces many bags with Mendong material (water hyacinth woven). But because of errors in the bag assembly process, especially in the gluing area, it greatly affects the beauty of bag products, as well as good product quality. The method used in this process is manual gluing. Problems found in the bag assembly process are less uniform glue, exess glue, less optimal attachment of components. The apprenticeship activity was held on 11 February 2019 - 11 April 2019 under the title "Assembling Process for Making Women's Bags with Material for Mendong at Gendhis Natural Bags, Gamping, Sleman, Yogyakarta." The methods used were direct work practices, observation, and interviews for data retrieval. Of the various problems that occur in the uneven gluing process, the glue exess, which is the most common cause is the method used in the application of glue to the material that is used inappropriately, namely by the gluing method with the aid of the cut cardboard media used for glue application applicator , so that many parts are not exposed to glue and the results are not optimal. Therefore in order to solve these problems, the author provides a solution in the form of bottle media use in the gluing method.
