Abstract

PT Berkat Ganda Sentosa, located in Pasuruan, East Java, is a company engaged in the shoe industry. PT Berkat Ganda Sentosa produces various types of shoes, such as casual shoes, sports shoes, running shoes, safety shoes, PDL, PDH, etc. PT Berkat Ganda Sentosa utilizes a job order system, where the production process is based on customer orders. Before shoes are mass-produced, they go through a development stage, during which sample shoes are created. Sample shoes represent the design concept in the form of actual shoe products. The purpose of creating sample shoes is to evaluate and identify any deficiencies or errors in the shoe products, allowing for improvements or revisions to be made. This final project aims to determine the causes of issues in the process of creating the Eagle Triumph shoe samples. The creation of the Eagle Triumph Shoe Sample pattern begins with design observation, followed by the creation of a meanform, pattern-making, and sample production by the author with the assistance of company employees. During the evaluation phase, several issues were identified after the sample was completed. Data collection methods used in this project include observation, interviews, and documentation. Problem-solving methods employed include applied experimental methods, specifically research and development in pattern-making. To achieve optimal results, the problem-solving process involved multiple stages: Pattern Sample 1, Pattern Sample 2, Pattern Sample 3, and the prototype production process. Through the pattern-making stages conducted, an optimal pattern for the Eagle Triumph Shoe Sample was ultimately obtained.
