Abstract

PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan di bidang alas kaki yang berbasis ekspor. Karya Akhir memberikan gambaran informatif tentang mutu produk yang terdapat pada perusahaan. Mutu produk tersebut yaitu sepatu second quality yang menyebabkan kerugian pada perusaahan. Sepatu second quality adalah sepatu yang berkurang nilai visualnya. Over roughing merupakan top 1 issue pada sepatu second quality pada bulan Maret. Untuk mencegah over roughing melebihi dari target budget second sebesar 0,38%, maka perlu dilakukan pengawasan khusus. Metode yang digunakan dalam Karya Akhir ini ada 2, yaitu metode pengumpulan data dan pengolahan data. Untuk metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan praktik kerja langsung. Sedangkan, untuk metode pengolahan data menggunakan peta kendali, fish bone, grafik, dan check sheet. Perbaikan yang dilakukan untuk meminimalisasi masalah over roughing adalah dengan cara perbaikan terhadap mesin dan pelatihan kepada operator. Perbaikan terhadap mesin mengacu pada TPM, yaitu preventive maintenance. Sedangkan review yang dilakukan berdasarkan atas kebutuhan perusahaan untuk memengurangi over roughing. Hasil dari perbaikan yang dilakukan, yaitu persentase untuk mengurangi over roughing mengalami penurunan, yaitu sebesar 9%. PT. XYZ is an export based footwear company. The Final Assignment provides information about the quality of products in the company. The second quality shoe are shoes that reduce visual value. It is has an impact of big losses to the company. Over roughing is the top 1 issue in second quality shoes of the company during the data taking. To avoid over roughing from the 0.38% of second budget target, special supervision is needed. There are 2 methods used in this Final Assignment, the method is data collection and analysis. To collect the data this Final Assignment uses observation techniques, interviews, and internship, while to analyze it uses control charts, fishbone, graphics, and check sheets. Improvements to minimize the problem of over roughing are by repairing the machine and review for the operators. Repairing the machine is refers to the TPM, namely preventive maintenance. While review is conducted on the needs of the company to minimize over roughing. The results of the improvements to the minimize over roughing is declining percentage, up to 9%.
