Abstract

PT Budi Makmur Jayamurni merupakan perusahaan swasta yang bergerak dibidang penyamakan kulit dan eksportir kulit dengan bahan baku utama kulit kambing dan kulit domba mentah garaman. Terdapat salah satu gudang bahan kimia yaitu gudang powder untuk menyimpan bahan kimia penyamakan kulit dengan ukuran 7 x 11 m2. Permasalahan yang terjadi di gudang powder yaitu penyimpanan bahan kimia B3 yang belum tertata rapi, belum memiliki prinsip penyimpanan yang jelas serta kurangnya label informasi bahan kimia B3. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bahan kimia B3 beserta karakteristik, sifat serta kompatibilitas di gudang powder, memperbaiki tata letak bahan kimia B3 di gudang powder serta mengevaluasi hasil penataan ulang bahan kimia B3 di gudang powder PT Budi Makmur Jayamurni. Materi yang digunakan antara lain bahan berupa 38 bahan kimia B3, label bahan kimia, simbol GHS, dan peralatan berupa rak, palet kayu, gerobak kayu, gunting, lakban, plastik zip lock sedangkan metode yang digunakan dalam tugas akhir ini yaitu mengidentifikasi bahan kimia B3 dengan prinsip popularity dan perhitungan persentase kompatibilitas bahan kimia B3 dan persentase kesesuaian jenis bahan kimia penyamakan kulit menggunakan rumus z=x/y×100%. Dalam proses penataan ulang bahan kimia B3 dikelompokan berdasarkan jenis bahan kimia penyamakan kulit serta mengacu pada MSDS dan matriks kompatibilitas. Sebelum penataan ulang bahan kimia B3 persentase kompatibilitas bahan kimia B3 sebanyak 71% dan persentase rata-rata kesesuaian jenis bahan kimia penyamakan kulit sebanyak 46%, setelah penataan ulang persentase rata-rata kompatibilitas bahan kimia B3 dan persentase rata-rata kesesuaian jenis bahan kimia penyamakan kulit mengalami kenaikan di layout akhir menjadi 100%. PT Budi Makmur Jaya Murni is leather tanning and leather exporters industry company with the main raw material being salted raw goat skin and sheep skin. There is one chemical warehouse, namely the powder warehouse for storing leather tanning chemicals with a size of 7 x 11 m2. The problems that occur in the powder warehouse are the storage of B3 chemicals that are not neatly organized, do not have clear storage principles and the lack of B3 chemical information labels. This final project aims to identify B3 chemicals along with their characteristics, properties and compatibility in the powder warehouse, improve the layout of B3 chemicals in the powder warehouse and evaluate the results of rearranging B3 chemicals in the PT Budi Makmur Jaya Murni powder warehouse. The materials used include materials in the form of 38 B3 chemicals, chemical labels, GHS symbols, and equipment in the form of shelves, wooden pallets, wooden carts, scissors, duct tape, plastic zip locks while the method used in this final project is to identify B3 chemicals. with the principle of popularity and calculation of the percentage of compatibility of B3 chemicals and the percentage of suitability for types of leather tanning chemicals using the formula z=x/y×100%. In the rearrangement process, B3 chemicals are grouped based on the type of leather tanning chemical and refers to the MSDS and compatibility matrix. Before rearrangement of B3 chemicals, the percentage of compatibility of B3 chemicals was 71% and the average percentage of suitability for leather tanning chemicals was 46%, after rearrangement, the average percentage of compatibility for B3 chemicals and the average percentage of suitability for types of tanning chemicals skin has increased in the final layout to 100%.
