Abstract
Kegiatan pelaksanaan tugas akhir dilakukan di CV Cisarua, Cianjur, Jawa Barat. Tujuan tugas akhir ini adalah mempelajari pengaruh penggunaan crosslinker (polyaziridine) untuk meningkatkan ketahanan gosok cat tutup pada artikel goat lining. Bahan baku yang digunakan yaitu 1 lembar kulit crust kualitas A dengan tebal 0,9 mm, luas kulit 5 sqft, bentuk simetris, dan softness 4,5 mm. Bahan pembantu yang digunakan dalam pemecahan masalah berupa crosslinker Aqualen Aku. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan tugas akhir meliputi observasi, interview, dan praktek kerja langsung. Tahapan proses yang dilakukan terdiri dari tahap persiapan, proses finishing dan pengujian ketahanan gosok kulit. Perbaikan ketahanan gosok cat tutup pada proses finishing dilakukan melalui penambahan crosslinker pada lapisan top coat sebanyak 10 gr/kg. Pengujian ketahanan gosok cat tutup kulit goat lining dilakukan di laboratorium CV Cisarua. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan crosslinker tidak berpengaruh terhadap perubahan nilai pada ketahanan gosok kering (4-5). Namun, pada ketahanan gosok basah terjadi perubahan nilai dari 1 menjadi 4-5. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi ketahanan gosok cat tutup adalah lapisan top coat yang kurang kuat, kurangnya penggunaan binder, dan terlalu banyak penggunaan plasticizer. Penambahan crosslinker sebanyak 10 gr/kg dapat meningkatkan hasil uji ketahanan gosok cat tutup basah. Berdasarkan hasil uji ketahanan gosok cat tutup kulit goat lining memenuhi nilai standar adidas (4-5). The final project was held at CV Cisarua, Cianjur, Jawa Barat. This paper propos a solution related to low coating rubbing fastness on goat lining article. The raw material used was grade A crust skin with thickness 0.9 mm, large 5 sqft, symmetrical shape, and softness 4,5 mm. Additional material used to solve the problem was crosslinker Aqualen Aku. The methods applied to conduct the final project were observation, interview, and practice. The stages of the process consisted of preparation, finishing, and testing. The repairing on finishing process was done by adding 10 gr/kg crosslinker on top coat layer. The testing of the finishing coat of goat skin lining was held at CV Cisarua laboratory. The results show that the adding of crosslinker had no impact on value change of dry rub resistance (4-5). However, on wet rubbing fastness there was change value from 1 to be 4-5. The contributory factors on cover paint rubbing fastness were less stronger top coat layer, lack of binder, and too much plasticizer used. By adding 10 gr/kg it could increase test result of wet rubbing fastness. Based on test result of finishing coat rubbing, the fastness goat skin lining was met the standard value of adidas(4-5).
