Abstract

ABSTRACT PT Primarindo Asia Infrastructure Tbk. is one of the companies engaged in the manufacturing sector. The company produces school shoes, fashion shoes, sports or casual shoes, and markets them locally under the brand Tomkins. The issue faced by PT Primarindo Asia Infrastructure Tbk. is the mismatch in the printing height on the Merrily model shoes' sample, causing the printing on the outsole and upper to be misaligned. This can diminish the intended appearance. The purpose of this Final Project is to identify the issues with the printing of the Merrily model shoe pattern, provide alternative solutions for printing the Merrily model shoe pattern, and understand the implementation of the improved printing of the Merrily model shoe pattern. This final project discusses materials related to the process of creating samples of the Merrily model shoes, observing each stage of the sample creation. The method used to address the problem involves experiments and analytical methods based on data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on this analysis, it is determined that one of the main influencing factors is the differing outcomes of the injected outsole in subsequent arrivals (even in the same size). The provided solution includes the addition of EVA, outsole drilling, and marking boundaries for upper attachment on the outsole.
