Abstract

Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa limbah padat industri penyamakan kulit berupa shaving wet blue dapat dijadikan bahan baku untuk sebuah kerajinan tangan dengan nilai seni yang tinggi (Produk 3D Canvas). Teknik yang digunakan dalam proses pembuatan produk 3D canvas ini ialah teknik impasto, yang merupakan teknik seni Lukis dengan cara menumpuk agar dapat memperoleh efek tiga dimensi pada karya. Bahan pembantu dan perekat yang digunakan dalam pembuatan produk 3D canvas ini yaitu kertas koran, lem fox dan semen putih. Perbandingan yang dilakukan untuk pembuatan produk ini yaitu 2:1 dimana 2 merupakan campuran antara limbah padat shaving wet blue dan kertas koran serta 1 merupakan perekat yang digunakan yaitu lem fox dan semen putih. hasil yang diperoleh dari produk 3D canvas ini dilakukan kuesioner terhadap 2 kategori dimana kategori pertama ditujukan pada pelaku atau penikmat seni Lukis dan kategori yang kedua ditujukan pada pemilik usaha kerajinan tangan. Dari kuesioner tersebut dilakukan beberapa aspek penilaian antara lain pengembangan motif, komposisi warna, keunikan karya, teknik yang digunakan, peminatan produk dan kelayakan produk. Dari penilaian beberapa aspek tersebut dapat diketahui rata-rata nilai yang diperoleh yakni 3 (dalam skala 1-4) yang berarti produk layak untuk diperjual belikan. Kata kunci: limbah shaving wet blue, produk 3D canvas, teknik impasto, perekat This Final Project aims to find out that the solid waste of the leather tanning industry is in the form of shaving wet blue can be used as raw material for a handicraft with high artistic value (3D Canvas Product). The technique used in the process of making this 3D canvas product is the impasto technique, which is a painting technique by stacking in order to obtain a three-dimensional effect on the work. The supporting materials and adhesives used in the manufacture of this 3D canvas product are newsprint, fox glue and white cement. The comparison made for the manufacture of this product is 2:1 where 2 is a mixture of solid wasteshaving wet blue and newsprint and 1 is the adhesive used, namely fox glue and white cement. The results obtained from this 3D canvas product were carried out by questionnaires on 2 categories where the first category was aimed at actors or connoisseurs of painting and the second category was aimed at handicraft business owners. From the questionnaire, several aspects of the assessment were carried out including the development of motifs, color composition, uniqueness of the work, the techniques used, product interest and product feasibility. From the assessment of some of these aspects, it can be seen that the average value obtained is 3 (on a scale of 1-4), which means the product is feasible to be traded.
