Abstract

Tujuan tugas akhir ini untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi cacat mutu ( minor defect ) dan cara mengurangi terjadinya cacat mutu ( minor defect ) pada kematangan kompon out sole shoe model life style. Dampak yang terjadi terhadap lamanya waktu proses produksi mengakibatkan meningkatnya biaya produksi dan tenaga kerja pada pengujian kematangan kompon menggunakan alat Die Rheometer Test. Salah satu upaya penulis dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan pengendalian mutu adalah dengan menggunakan metode Seven tools. Pada hasil uji terdapat kecacatan kematangan kompon out sole, yaitu: kompon terlalu matang dengan persentase kecacatan hasil uji sebanyak 82,2 %. Sedangkan, kompon kurang matang dengan persentase kecacatan hasil uji sebanyak 17,78 %. Penyebab terjadinya cacat mutu (minor defect) meliputi 4 faktor : Faktor lingkungan karena, suara mesin yang bising dan sirkulasi udara. Faktor mesin karena, pengaturan suhu aktual mesin tidak cocok dengan pengaturan operator dan kondisi mesin yang sudah tua. Faktor material karena, kurang homogennya material pada saat pencampuran, dan terjadinya vulkanisasi dini. Faktor man karena, cara pengolahan material yang salah, kurang telitinya pada proses penimbangan, dan operator yang bekerja belum sesuai prosedur. The purpose of this writing is to determine the factors that affect quality defects (minor defects) and to reduce the occurrence of quality defects on the fineness of the out sole shoe of the life style model. Impact occured on the length of the production process resulted in increased production and labor costs on testing the compound fineness using the Die Rheometer Test tool. One of the authors' efforts to solve quality control problems is using the Seven tools method. The test results show the disabilities of the fineness from out sole compound, namely: the compound was too soft with the percentage of disability of the test results as much as 82.2%. Meanwhile, the compound is less too hard with the percentage of disability test results as much as 17.78%. The cause of the quality defect (minor defect) includes 4 factors: Environmental factors were caused by engine noise and air circulation. The engine factors were caused by the engine's actual temperature setting wich was not match to operator's settings and old engine conditions. Material factors were caused by less homogeneous material during mixing, and early vulcanization. Man factors were caused by wrong method of material processing, lack of rigor in the weighing process, and operators who work not accordingly to procedure.
