Abstract

PT Brodo Ganesha Indonesia is a start up company wich engaged in the shoes industry. This company initially only produced shoes intended for men. But now, Brodo has added to its collection such as sandals, t-shirts, jackets, pants and accessories. One of the shoes that Brodo produces is casual shoes. This Final Project is stuctured to find out the problems that exist in PT. Brodo Ganesha Indonesia, namely defect in the upper shoes that cause wrinkles and overcome the level of reject wrinkle on the upper shoes, as well as proved a solution to reduce the occurrence of these reject findings. The method for completing the Final Project uses observation, interview, documentation, direct work practices and secondary and data processing carried out, the most common problems are found in the toelast process which causes wrinkles on the upper shoes. The cause of the reject was because the were not given additional materials such as reinforce in the upper shoes. As a result, when the toelast process of the uses the gluing method by pressing the end, wrinkles occur on the upper shoe and result in a high number of repairs on classic corte shoes. The solution for repairing product defect is adding materials and tightening the production process by supervising operators so that they work according to SOP and briefings on the importance of quality product result.
