Abstract

PT. IntidragonSuryatama is a local shoe company with brand known as Pro ATT, ATT and Jaguar. This company produces various types of shoes and sandals ranging from school, casual, sports and running shoes. This final project aims to overcome the bumpy vamp problem due to the wrong direction of material elongation on the article CML 050 shoe at PT IntidragonSuryatama. This problem stems from the making of the cutting design which does not follow the correct direction of the correct elongation of the shoe-making material, so that the cutting operator cuts the wrong material, especially on the vamp and toe cap, causing a bumpy vamp defect after the shoe is finished. Therefore, so as not to hinder the production process and the material can still be used. Solving the problem begins with the method of collecting data through primary and secondary data. Primary data includes observation, interview, and documentation methods. And secondary data obtained from literature studies both via the internet and books in the library. From the results of data analysis and processing, 2 solutions were obtained as a solution to the bumpy vamp problem due to the wrong direction of material elongation on the CML 050 article shoes. The first solution (short term) was to change the pattern on the eyestay reinforce which was originally separated to become united for the front to prevent bumpy. vamp when releasing the reference after the enduring process. The second solution (long term) is to provide input to the company for labeling when the material coming from the supplier has been checked for the width, length, and direction of the material, so that there are no errors in the cutting design.
