Abstract

CV Djoen Leather is a small and medium business in the non-footwear industrythat provides bags, wallets and belts made of leather. One of the stages in the bag-making process is assembling bag components such as installing handles. Thepurpose of the final arrangement is to find out the causes of the excessive glueprocess when assembling bag components, to find and study solutions to solvingproblems that occur when the excessive glue process occurs when assembling bagcomponents.Thematerialconsideredincludestheprocessofinstallingbaghandlesand analyzing problems to overcome the process of installing bag handles, excessgluecausingtheproducttodecline.Inthecomponentassemblyprocess,aproblemwas found, namely the gluing process that exceeded the limit, thus making the bagproductionprocessinefficient,andreducingtheappearancevalue.Themethodusedto solve the problem is the experimental method factor on the assembly of bagcomponents. The results of solving the problem are repairs to the problem of theabsenceof anSOPforinstallinghandles andtheabsenceofa gluingbarrier.
