Abstract
Botol tiger lily carnation 250 ml merupakan salah satu produk yang dihasilkan PT Arkanindoplast Utama. Botol tersebut dibuat dari material high density polyethylene (HDPE) dan diproses menggunakan mesin extrusion blow molding. Cacat bintik termasuk cacat major dominan yang muncul, yaitu mencapai 53,82 % dari seluruh cacat total selama 27 hari pengamatan. Cacat bintik dapat ditemukan pada body botol dan berdampak kerugian bagi perusahaan jika berlangsung terus menerus. Dalam penyelesaian masalah cacat bintik yang terjadi, metode yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi serta perbandingan dengan studi pustaka terdahulu. Dari hasil kajian, diketahui penyebab cacat bintik dari faktor mesin, material, metode, lingkungan dan manusia. Sehingga, upaya penanganan cacat bintik yang dilakukan yaitu dengan pemberian saran sebagai masukan untuk perbaikan. Bottle of tiger lily carnation 250 ml is the one product who outcome from PT Arkanindoplast Utama. The bottle made from high density polyethylene (HDPE) material and process by extrusion blow molding machine. Black spot defects included into dominant major defect that had been appear which is reaching 53,82% from all the defect on 27 days of observation. Black spot defects could be found in the bottle body and got loss impact for the company, if it happened continuously. In the problem resolve about black spot defects that accured, the methods that used were the observation method, interview, documentation, and comparison with previous literature studies. From the result material, method, environment, and human. So that, the effort to handle black spot defects that carried out was made by giving advice as input for improvement.
