Abstract

PT Utaliya, Kabupaten Tangerang, Banten, merupakan perusahaan besar di bidang persepatuan yang baru saja direlokasi dari Jakarta Selatan pada 2020 lalu ke Kab.Tangerang, Banten. Perusahaan ini memproduksi berbagai macam model sepatu mulai dari sepatu classic dan sepatu casual berdasarkan permintaan dari pembeli mulai dari desain, ukuran dan bahan. Metode pengumpulan data primer sendiri dilakukan dengan metode observasi, metode interview, dan juga metode dokumentasi sedangkan metode pengumpulan data sekunder dengan cara metode studi pustaka. Hasil pengamatan saat proses magang di PT Utaliya pada proses assembling sepatu model Vincenzo. Proses pelaksanaan kegiatan magang dimulai pada tanggal 23 Februari – 22 Mei 2023. Pada proses assembling ditemukan masalah yang mempengaruhi sepatu artikel Vincenzo adalah bond gap. Pada proses assembling ini ditemukan cacat bond gap yang merupakan cacat paling sering terjadi. Yang pertama faktor tekanan mesin press yang kurang kuat sehingga antara upper dan rubber outsole tidak lekat sempurna. Untuk material yaitu outsole saat proses buffing tidak sempurna dan masih kurang kasar atau masih mengkilap sehingga lem tidak dapat rekat sempurna. Usulan perbaikan masalah dari penulis untuk mengatasi bond gap pada sepatu model Vincenzo adalah memberikan pelatihan pada operator agar dapat bekerja sesuai SOP, mengecek seluruh mesin setiap waktu supaya mesin tetap terawat. Kata kunci : Bond Gap, Assembling, Sepatu PT Utaliya, Tangerang Regency, Banten, is a large company in the footwear sector that has just relocated from South Jakarta in 2020 to Tangerang Regency, Banten. This company produces various models of shoes ranging from classic shoes and casual shoes based on requests from buyers ranging from design, size and materials. The primary data collection method itself is carried out by the observation method, the interview method, and also the data collection method while the secondary data collection method is using the Literature Study method. The results of observations during the apprenticeship process at PT Utaliya on the process of assembling the Vincenzo model shoes. The process of carrying out the internship activities began on February 23 – May 22 2023. During the assembly process several problems were found that affected Vincenzo's shoe article, namely the bond gap. In this assembling process bond gap defects were found which are the most common defects. The first is the pressure factor of the press machine which is not strong enough so that the upper and the rubber outsole do not adhere perfectly. For the material, namely the outsole during the buffing process, it is not perfect and is still not rough or still shiny so that the glue cannot adhere perfectly. The author's suggestion for fixing the problem to overcome the bond gap in the Vincenzo shoe model is to provide training to operators so they can work according to SOPs, check all machines every time so that the machines are maintained.
