Abstract

CV. Sapindelick merupakan sebuah brand produk kulit yang memproduksi leather goods, berlokasi di Jl. Dahlia No.99, Ds. Tulungrejo, Kec. Pare Kab. Kediri, Jawa Timur. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain tas Wiliways handmade. Tas Wiliways diproduksi dengan sistem handmade hingga memerlukan waktu produksi yang lama, sehingga biaya produksi menjadi tinggi dan harga jual juga menjadi mahal. Mahalnya harga jual tas Wiliways membuat peminat tas Wiliways tidak mampu membeli. Melihat hal tersebut pemilik Sapindelick ingin menciptakan alternatif produk Wiliways untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar yaitu membuat produk Wiliways dengan harga lebih murah. Pengamatan dilakukan mulai dai tanggal 1 Februari sampai 30 April 2019. Materi yang dipelajari yakni pengembangan desain Wiliways Handmade. Pembuatan karya akhir menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka pada proses pengembangan desain Wiliways Handmade terutama pada proses pembuatan dan konstruksi tas. Tahapan proses yang dilakukan dalam penyusunan karya akhir adalah pengamatan, pengumpulan data, identifikasi masalah, analisis dan perancangan desain, prototype, dan evaluasi. Setelah diketahui faktor penyebab masalah yaitu waktu pembuatan yang lama, dilakukan pencarian solusi guna membuat Wiliways dapat dibuat dengan lebih efisien. Untuk membuat Wiliways yang lebih efisien dengan cara menghilangkan komponen yang terdapat proses edge finishing, mengubah sistem jahitan tangan dengan jahitan mesin sehingga mendapatkan biaya produksi yang rendah. CV. Sapindelick is a leather product brand that produces leather good, located on Jl. Dahlia No.99, Ds. Tulungrejo, Kec. Pare Kediri, East Java. This final project aims to develop handmade Wiliways bag designs. Wiliways bags are produced with handmade systems so that it takes a long time, so the production costs are high so the selling price also becomes high. From this, interest in buying Wiliways bag products declined. Responding to this, Sapindelick's owner wanted to create an alternative product from Wiliways to answer market demands that wanted handmade wiles but could not afford it. Observations are made starting from February 1 to April 30 2019. The material studied is the development of Handmade Wiliways designs. The making of the final work uses direct observation or work practice methods, interviews, documentation and literature studies on the process of developing Wiliways Handmade designs, especially in the process of making bags. The stages of the process carried out in preparing the final work are observation, data collection, problem identification, analysis and design design, prototype, and evaluation. After finding out the causes of the problem of the long manufacturing time, a solution was sought to make the Wiliways more efficient. To make Wiliways more efficient by removing components that have a process of edge finishing, changing the hand stitching system with machine stitches to get a low production cost.
