Abstract

Foxing Oldham is one part of sneakers at the bottom that functions to connect the upper with the midsole or outsole. Defects that often occur during the manufacture of foxing products at PT SS Utama are spot defects. Parameter settings on the co extruder machine affect the results and spotting defects of foxing products. The purpose of setting the co extruder machine parameters to determine the spotting defect factor in oldham foxing products. The experimental setting of the co extruder machine was carried out as many as 3 experiments, namely speed F_0 853rpm, 253rpm, 852rpm, speed F_1 253rpm, 774rpm, 174rpm, speed F_2 853rpm, 1256rpm, 185rpm. The spotting defects that occurred were tested organoleptically. To determine the difference in the occurrence of defects in each treatment, a ratio score scale test was carried out with a questionnaire method of 10 Oldham foxing product samples. The result of the setting that occurs is that the F_2 treatment produces oldham foxing products without spotting defects. The results of the anova test on 3 treatments, namely F_0,F_1 〖,F〗_2 with α 0.05 showed a difference in spotting defects in oldham foxing products.
