Abstract

PT Venamon is a footwear company that produces shoes from various government agencies such as the TNI, Polri, and several others government agencies. Before entering mass production, shoes go through the development stage until they get optimum results. This final assignment aims to anticipate wrinkle and xray problems in PDH Javier Shoes. In making PDH Javier shoe patterns, the stages carried out begin with design observation, meanform making, basic pattern making, pattern breaking, and sample making by the sample section. At the evaluation stage after the sample was made, several problems were found, including wrinkles in the area of lasting allowances and xray on the upper vamp of the shoe. Wrinkles and xrays found in PDH Javier shoes are problems that can affect the comfort and aesthetics of these shoes. The method of solving the problem is carried out by experimental method, namely changes or adjustments to the size of the PDH Javier Shoe pattern. Solving problems to get optimal results is by doing the development sample 1, development sample 2, development sample 3, and development sample 4 or prototype stages. In the development stage of sample 1, experiments were carried out to adjust or reduce patterns on lasting allowances and toeboxes. Based on the results of the evaluation of development sample 1, wrinkles were resolved but there were still xrays on the shoes. Then the sample 2 development stage was carried out to overcome xray problems with the addition of a reinforce pattern. The evaluation results of development sample 2 still have xray on shoes. The next stage is the development of sample 3 with experiments on changing the toebox material from chemisheet to thermoplast. From several stages of development that have been carried out, the results of the PDH Javier Shoe pattern are optimum and there are no wrinkles and xrays anymore.
