Abstract

Pillow back pack is a type of bag designed with a comfortable and innovative cushion shape. This bag has a characteristic woven pipil motif which gives a unique aesthetic touch to its design. The pillow back pack is designed with comfort and function in mind. This independent work aims to design and develop a Pillow back pack bag by combining innovation in design with the woven technique of the pipil motif. The reason Pillow back pack is designed to suit user needs. The design process is supported by data from questionnaires on fashion trends, user references to bag designs, and the characteristics of the woven pipil motifs. The choice of independent work Pillow back pack as an independent work was chosen because it was innovated from the Puffy bag bag which was previously used for sling bags, and totte bags and other small bags, so this Pillow back pack has a uniqueness that differentiates it from other products, besides that the uniqueness of The pillow back pack is combined with woven pipil motifs, woven pipil motifs provide added aesthetic value to the design. The bag-making process method involves planning stages, making brainstorming, Imageboards, selecting quality materials, making ergonomic design patterns, and product functionalization. Combining design innovation, woven motifs with pipil techniques, and functional ergonomics in the design of the Pillow back pack to become an idea that is prioritized. This advantage is because it is oriented towards creating a product that is also a pillow back pack.
