Abstract

CV. Rumah Warna merupakan sebuah industri yang bergerak dalam bidang pembuatan tas yang berlokasi di Yogyakarta. Pembuatan tas ini sering terjadi permasalahan pada proses pembuatan tas ransel anak model Cuping, dimana sering ditemukan permasalahan mengenai over stitch jahitan bantu pada proses penjahitan. Tujuan dari penulisan karya akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui penyebab permasalahan tersebut serta memberi solusi untuk penyelesaiannya. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan cara metode: observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, praktek kerja langsung, studi pustaka dan internet. Berdasarkan analisis serta beberapa metode yang digunakan, penulis menemukan penyebab permasalahan over stitch pada jahitan bantu tersebut yaitu metode yang digunakan pada proses penjahitan di perusahaan belum menggunakan garis bantu (marking) untuk batas jahitan. Mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penulis menemukan dua metode yang dapat digunakan yaitu penambahan garis bantu jahitan (marking) secara manual dan penambahan alat pembatas jahitan (magnetic seam guide) yang dipasang pada mesin jahit.CV. Rumah Warna is an industry that is engaged in the manufacture of bags located in Yogyakarta. The making of these bags often occurs in the process of making children's backpacks with Cuping models, where problems are often found regarding over stitch assistive stitches in the sewing process. The purpose of this final paper is to find out the cause of the problem and provide a solution for its solution. Data collection methods used are by method: observation, interviews, documentation, direct work practices, library studies and the internet. Based on the analysis and several methods used, the authors found the cause of the problem of over stitch in the auxiliary sutures, namely the method used in the sewing process in the company has not used a marking for the stitch limit. Overcoming these problems, the authors found two methods that can be used, namely the addition of manual lines (marking) manually and the addition of a seam limiting device (magnetic seam guide) installed on the sewing machine.
