Abstract

PT. Alra Makmur Cahaya Selaras adalah perusahaan yang memproduksi tas. Salah satu jenis tas yang diproduksi adalah tas wanita dengan jenis hobo bag. Ada beberapa tahapan dalam pembuatan tas salah satunya proses penyesetan. Permasalahan yang ditemui pada saat melaksanakan magang di perusahaan berupa kurang optimalnya proses penyesetan pada komponen tas kulit model hobo bag. Penyebab tidak optimalnya proses penyesetan adalah kurangnya perawatan pada mesin seset. Dengan hal tersebut maka perlu dilakukan perbaikan dengan identifikasi penyebab timbulnya permasalahan dan solusi yang dapat diambil. Metode pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, studi pustaka dan praktik kerja langsung. Hasil dari pengamatan dan pengolahan data dapat disimpulkan bahwa cara untuk mengatasi kurang optimalnya proses penyesetan pada komponen tas adalah dengan memberi pengarahan pada karyawan bagian penyeset dan memperbaiki mesin dengan cara mengasah pisau yang tumpul kemudian mesin seset harus mempunyai perawatan paling tidak satu bulan sekali. Dengan demikian diharapkan jika adanya tabel prosedur penyesetan dapat memaksimalkan kebutuhan dari proses penyesetan maupun fungsinya pada saat proses pembuatan tas. PT.
