Abstract

PT Venamon is one of the manufacturing industry companies in the field of garments and safety shoes located in Bandung, West Java. Some of the products produced include PDH shoes (Daily Service Clothing) and PDL shoes (Field Service Clothing) to meet the needs of government agencies, namely the National Police, Regional Police, TNI, and various other government agencies. Before the production process, calculations and determination of BOM (Bill of Material) standards are carried out in accordance with material specifications. The determination of BOM is carried out to find out the specifications of the materials to be used and the calculation of BOM standards is carried out to find out the amount of material needed during the production process, so as to avoid dead stock and material shortages. At the stage of cutting the material of the PDL shoe in the Vibrant 8.3.2 article, a problem was found, namely the non-conformity of the BOM standard with the realization of the cut. To find out the factors that cause the non-conformity of BOM standards with the realization of cuts and provide solutions for the non-conformity of BOM standards with the realization of cuts. This problem occurs because there is a difference between the calculation of the average material use for each pair of shoes and the BOM standard that has been determined. The difference between the BOM standard and the non-compliant average material usage per pair can affect the material stock for the next cutting process. The method used to solve the problem is to conduct experiments or trials. The experiment was carried out three times. The first experiment is by adjusting the interlocking between the development side and the realization in the field, the second experiment is by calculating the overall accumulated material requirement for each size, and the third experiment is changing the standard size. From the evaluation of the experimental results, it is known that the interlocking pattern adjustment has a significant influence and can be used to overcome the problem.
