Abstract

PT Venamon is a company in the footwear industry, specializing in PDH (Pakaian Dinas Harian) and PDL (Pakaian Dinas Lapangan) shoes for various government and private organizations. The PDH Hoki model shoes are developed specifically for a government agency. Before entering mass production, these shoes go through a development process to achieve optimal results. One crucial aspect in transforming a design into an optimal shoe is the shoe pattern.The parameters set by PT Venamon's R&D team for shoe development include pattern conformity, visual appearance, and fitting test. The process of creating the PDH Hoki model shoe pattern starts with design observation, meanform creation, basic pattern creation, pattern breakdown, and development sample creation. During the evaluation phase, after the development sample shoes were completed, issues related to pattern conformity, visual appearance, and fitting test results were identified. Data collection was done using observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The problem-solving approach used was the experimental method. The solutions applied to the PDH Hoki model shoes included adjusting the height of the back counter, modifying lasting allowances, adding skiving processes to the tongue edges, incorporating additional supportive material, and adjusting the top line quarter.
