Abstract

Tugas akhir bertujuan untuk mengetahui tahapan proses finishing yang paling berpengaruh terhadap hasil uji Color Fastness to Rubbing dan menemukan pemecahan masalah dalam meningkatkan ketahanan warna kulit finish terhadap uji Color Fastness to Rubbing untuk kulit upholstery artikel bovine polo. Dalam proses finishing artikel bovine polo mempunyai kendala, yaitu saat di uji Color Fastness to Rubbing kulit mengalami bleeding pada bagian grainnya dan luntur pada felt dry 250 cycle dengan nilai grey scale 2, pada felt wet 250 cycle dengan nilai grey scale 2. Untuk meningkatkan nilai grey scale dibuatlah formula baru dengan menambah quantity crosslinker pada proses top coat. Material yang digunakan untuk proses finishing kulit upholstery pada artikel bovine polo adalah kulit sapi crust dyed kualitas C59-C69, tebal 1,2 mm sampai 1,4 mm dengan luas 1 squarefeet. Bahan kimia yang digunakan adalah compound polo, water, pasta color, auxiliry, polymerise, anti-foaming, water-based acrylic polymer, acrylic. Proses yang dilakukan dalam proses finishing kulit upholstery untuk artikel bovine polo antara lain: semi finished selection, miling, spraying (intermedio), rest, miling, spraying (rimonta), rest, miling, stacking, lab test, measuring, packing. Setelah dilakukan trial dan pengujian diperoleh hasil kulit dengan ketahanan gosok yang paling baik pada perbandingan fixative (100): (7) crosslinker dengan hasil grey scale dry 5, wet 4,5. Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap hasil uji pengujian Color Fastness to Rubbing adalah proses pengeringan dan penggunaan crosslinker. This paper purpose to find out the stages of the most influential finishing proces of the results at color fastness to rubbing and found the problem solving in improving leather finish color rasistance for color fastness to rubbing for bovine polo article upholstery. In the proces of finishing for article bovine polo has a constraint, that is when the test color fastness to rubbing the bleeding leather on the grain and the color fade on felt dry 250 cycles with gray scale value 2, the felt wet 250 cycles with grey scale 2. To increase the grey scale value a new formulation is made by added crosslinker quantity to the top coat process. The material used for leather upholstery finishing process of bovine polo article is cow crust dyed quality C59-C69, 1,2 mm to 1,4 mm thick with 1 squarefeet area. The chemicals used are compound polo, water, pasta color, auxiliry, polymerise, anti-foaming, water-based acrylic polymer, acrylic. The process finishing leather upholstery for bovine polo articles include: semi finished selection, miling, spraying (intermedio), rest, miling, spraying (rimonta), rest, miling, stacking, lab test, measuring, packing. The trial and testing, the best result of scrubbing leather on use the fixative(100) : (7)crosslinker with result grey scale dry 5, wet 4,5. Influented factors that result of testing color fastness to rubbing is the process of drying and crosslinker used
