Abstract

PT Brodo Ganesha Indonesia is a fashion retail company that produces types of apparel, one of which is backpacks. Brodo creates various backpacks, one of which is the Ino Backpack. Ino Backpack's market segmentation is high school students. The problem with the Ino Backpack is that the storage of luggage is not well organized. Thus, this research aims to meet user needs in choosing a backpack that can store items so that they are well organized. Data collection methods through observation, interviews and questionnaires. The design approach method, namely using the Glass Box method, includes the preparation stage, incubation stage, lumination stage and verification stage. To overcome this problem, the author redesigned the Ino Backpack, namely by providing additional compartments so that luggage can be better organized. After going through a redesign stage based on user needs, the Ino Backpack has had additional compartments, namely: inner compartment, hidden pocket compartment and rain cover compartment.
