Abstract

PT Nandhi Radja Nusantara is a company established in 2014 that produces leather goods such as bags, wallets, belts, gloves, keychains, and more. To maintain the quality of its products, PT Nandhi Radja Nusantara uses high-quality domestic raw materials for leather production. However, during the cutting process, a significant amount of leather waste accumulates in the storage warehouse. This can create an uncomfortable working environment and result in losses for the company. To identify the causes of excessive cutting waste at PT Nandhi Radja Nusantara and provide solutions to address these issues, it was found that two main factors contribute to the problem: human factors and method factors. These issues stem from insufficient knowledge about leather material interlocking during cutting and the lack of an interlocking method used by operators. Solutions proposed include conducting briefings before starting work, providing training to cutting operators, determining material quantities more precisely, and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the cutting process to ensure operators follow established procedures. The analysis concludes that developing SOPs and providing training for cutting operators are crucial and can effectively resolve the leather waste problem.
