Abstract

Penulisan tugas akhir menyampaikan salah satu penyelesaian masalah yang dihadapi oleh CV Karya Makmur Sejahtera, Garut, Jawa Barat. Fokus dari permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah efek emboss yang kurang jelas pada kulit nappa burnish, dampaknya kulit belum memenuhi standar pengujian organoleptis dan mendapat penolakan dari konsumen. Pada permasalahan ini penulis melakukan perbaikan terhadap formulasi awal yang menghasilkan kulit hasil emboss kurang jelas. Dilakukan reformulasi pada proses pasca tanning yaitu retanning 1, netralisasi, dan retanning 2 dan dyeing. Bahan baku yang digunakan untuk percobaan formulasi perbaikan yaitu kulit wet blue sebanyak 2 side dengan berat total 5,8 kg dan tebal 1,2-1,4 mm. This study explaned the problem solving located in CV Karya Makmur Sejahtera, Garut, West Java. Focused on the problem about the less obvious emboss effect on nappa burnish skin, the impact of the skin has not met the organoleptic testing standards and received rejection from costumers. In this problem authors make improvements the initial formulations that have less obvious emboss results leather. Performed reformulation in the post-tanning process, namely retanning 1, neutralization, and retanning 2 and Dyeing. The raw materials used for the experiment of repair formulations were 2 sides of wet blue skin with a total weight of 5.8 kg and 1.2-1.4 mm thick.
