Abstract
Ketidaksesuaian warna diartikan sebagai terjadinya perubahan warna pada material plastik yang dapat disebabkan oleh panas berlebih, gesekan mekanis, kontaminasi, atau paparan bahan kimia. Warna kulit imitasi artikel double coating produksi PT XYZ periode Januari 2024 mengalami masalah ketidaksesuaian warna dari warna sampel standar perusahaan. Penulisan Tugas Akhir bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya ketidaksesuaian warna kulit imitasi artikel double coating serta pengaruh heat stabilizer terhadap kesesuaian warna dan sifat mekanis kulit imitasi. Observasi, percobaan, pengujian, dan studi pustaka digunakan dalam metode tugas akhir. Percobaan dilakukan dengan variasi jumlah heat stabilizer yaitu: 0,5 gram (0,25%); 1 gram (0,51%); 1,5 gram (0,77%); 2 gram (1,03%); 2,5 gram (1,28%); dan 3 gram (1,54%) di Laboratorium PT XYZ. Hasil observasi menunjukkan penyebab ketidaksesuaian warna dapat terjadi karena penambahan warna yang tidak sesuai komposisi, suhu dan lama pemanasan, serta sifat dari bahan utama Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) yang tidak tahan panas. Variasi hasil percobaan jumlah heat stabilizer yang tepat dalam mengatasi ketidaksesuaian warna kulit imitasi dan efektivitas penggunaan bahan adalah 2 gram (1,03%). Hasil uji tembak warna variasi heat stabilizer 2 gram (1,03%) menghasilkan nilai DL* = 0,19; Da*= 0,01; Db* = 0,12, sedangkan hasil uji mekanik kuat tarik dan kuat sobek mendapatkan nilai 475 N dan 32 N. Penggunaan heat stabilizer 2 gram (1,03%) menghasilkan warna kulit imitasi sesuai dengan warna standar perusahaan dan sifat mekanik memenuhi SNI 1294:2009. Kata kunci: kulit imitasi, ketidaksesuaian warna, penstabil panas, artikel double coating, pemecahan masalah. Color mismatch is defined as the occurrence of color changes in plastic materials that can be caused by overheating, mechanical friction, contamination, or chemical attack. The color of the synthetic leather double coating article produced by PT XYZ in the January 2024 period experienced a color mismatch problem from the company's standard sample color. The writing of this Final Project aims to determine the cause of the color discrepancy of double coating article synthetic leather and the effect of heat stabilizer on color conformity and mechanical properties of synthetic leather. Observation, experimentation, testing and literature study were used in the final project method. Experiments were carried out with variations in the amount of heat stabilizer, namely: 0.5 grams (0.25%); 1 gram (0.51%); 1.5 grams (0.77%); 2 grams (1.03%); 2.5 grams (1.28%); and A6 3 grams (1.54%) at PT XYZ Laboratory. The observation results showed that the cause of color mismatch can occured due to the addition of colors that were not in accordance with the composition, temperature and duration of heating, as well as the nature of the main material Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) which was not heat resistant. The variation of the experimental results of the right amount of heat stabilizer in overcoming the color mismatch of synthetic leather and the effectiveness of material use was 2 grams (1.03%). The results of the color firing test of the heat stabilizer variation of 2 grams (1.03%) obtained the value of DL * = 0.19 Da * = 0.01 Db * = 0.12, while the results of the mechanical test of tensile strength and tear strength obtained values of 474 N and 31 N. The use of 2 gram (1,03%) heat stabilizer produced synthetic leather color in accordance with the standard color and mechanical properties meet SNI 1294:2009.
