Abstract

PT. Purnama Jaya merupakan perusahaan industri manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang persepatuan. Perusahaan ini memproduksi berbagai jenis sepatu salah satunya sepatu sport. Pada saat pelaksanaan magang penulis mengamati tentang dampak dari pemotongan menggunakan sistem grouping. Tujuan dari karya ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan, penyebab serta memberi solusi pada masalah dampak pemotongan material sistem grouping. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data primer yang terdiri dari teknik observasi, teknik interview dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan data sekunder yaitu pengumpulan data dari kepustakaan. Proses pemotongan material dilakukan dengan cara menggunakan mesin cutting dies. Pemotongan material dilakukan secara grouping yaitu dengan cara menumpuk bahan agar proses produksi meningkat dan memenuhi target. Dampak positif dari pemotongan sistem grouping adalah efesiensi waktu pada saat proses produksi. Sedangkan dampak negatif dari pemotongan sistem grouping adalah pada hasil pemotongan yaitu ukuran komponen tidak sama, hasil pemotongan mengelupas, hasil pemotongan berserabut dan pisau yang digunakan mekar sehingga dapat merubah ukuran komponen yang dihasilkan. Cara untuk mengurangi dampak negatif pada pemotongan sistem grouping adalah dengan pada proses pemotongan tumpukkan bahan harus sesuai dengan kartu intruksi kerja, pisau diasah secara teratur, pergantian alas secara teratur, pengaturan ulang pada mesin dan pengecekkan cutting dies secara teratur. Hasil penerapan usulan perbaikan cacat pada sepatu mengelami penurunan yang signifikan. Perbandingan hasil dari cacat mengalami penurunan pada permasalahan komponen tidak sama dari 1.44% menjadi 0,5%, komponen mengelupas dari 0,72% menjadi 0,2%, komponen berserabut dari 0,36% menjadi 0,1%. PT Purnama Jaya is the manufacturing company in the footwear industry. This company produces various types of shoes, one of the which is sport shoes. At the intership, the writer observed about the impact of the cuts using the grouping system. The purpose of this assignment is to identify problems, causes and provide solutions to the problem of the impact of cutting material grouping system. Data collection method used is primary data collection consisting of observation, interview and documentation techniques. While the secondary data and collection using library study. The process of cutting material is done by using cutting dies. The positive impact of cutting process with grouping system is the efficiency of time during the production process, while the negative impact cutting process with grouping system is on the cutting results of the component, this is size not the same, the cutting results are peeling and stringent and besides, there is a change in blade size, so that componant size also change. The way to reduce the negative impact on cutting process with grouping system is that cutting the material pile must be in accordance with the work instruction, the knife is sharpened regularly, change the base periodically, rearrange the machine and checks cutting dies regularly. The results of applying the proposed improvement in defects of shoes show a significant decline. Defects have decreased for non-equal component problems from 1.44% to 0.5%, peeling component from 0.72% to 0.2%, and stringent components from 0.36% to 0.1%.
