Abstract

PT Bali Mukti Shoe Factory (PT BMSF) merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di industri persepatuan, khususnya memproduksi sepatu militer. Salah satu model sepatu yang diproduksi adalah sepatu PDL PB Tali. Dalam proses produksi sepatu PDL tersebut terdapat beberapa permasalahan, yaitu terjadinya kerutan pada vamp bagian depan (toe cap) setelah proses lasting, dan pemborosan penggunaan material kulit dan corduroy. Pengamatan dilakukan di PT BMSF, Bandung dari tanggal 18 Februari sampai 16 April 2019. Materi yang diamati adalah penghematan material upper dan mengatasi kerutan bagian toe cap setelah proses lasting pada sepatu PDL PB Tali. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, praktik kerja lapangan, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Berdasarkan percobaan yang dilakukan, cara menghemat penggunaan material kulit dalam proses produksi adalah dengan merubah pola lasting allowance yang awalnya memiliki lebar 25 mm pada bagian depan, dan 20 mm pada bagian samping dan belakang menjadi memiliki lebar 18 mm pada bagian depan, 20 mm pada bagian samping, dan 22 mm pada bagian belakang. Hasil penghematan penggunaan material kulit yaitu 13.856,94 sqf untuk produksi 51.322 pasang sepatu. Penghematan penggunaan material corduroy dengan cara merubah pola quarter out yang awalnya utuh menjadi dua bagian, yaitu quarter out atas dan bawah. Hasil penghematan penggunaan material corduroy yaitu 641,5139 meter untuk produksi 51.322 pasang sepatu, dan menghemat biaya produksi sebesar Rp100.685.460,80. Cara mengatasi kerutan pada toe cap setelah proses lasting adalah dengan merubah pola v-cut pada lasting allowance yang awalnya memiliki panjang 10 mm dan lebar 15-25 mm menjadi memiliki panjang 7 mm dan lebar 10 mm. PT Bali Mukti Shoe Factory (PT BMSF) is a company engaged in footwear industry, especially producing military shoes. One model of shoes product is PDL PB Tali shoes. In the production process of PDL shoes, there are several problems, named the occurrence of wrinkles on the front of the vamp (toe cap) after the lasting process, the waste of the use of leather and corduroy material. The observations were made at PT BMSF, Bandung from 18th February until 16th April 2019. The material observed was saving the upper material and overcoming the toe cap wrinkles after the lasting process of PDL PB Tali shoes. The methods are observation, interviews, field work practices, documentation, and literature studies. Based on the experiments conducted, the way to save the use of leather material in the production process is by changing the lasting allowance pattern which has a width of 25 mm on the front, and 20 mm on the side and back to have a width of 18 mm on the front, 20 mm on the side, and 22 mm on the back. The result of the savings in the use of leather material is 13.856,94 sqf for the production of 51.322 pairs of shoes. The saving of corduroy material use by changing the originally intact quarter out pattern into two parts, named upper and lower of quarter out. The saving results of corduroy material use are 641,5139 meters for the production of 51.322 pairs of shoes, and saving production costs of Rp100.685.460,80. To overcome the toe cap wrinkles after the lasting process is by changing the v-cut pattern at the lasting allowance which has a length of 10 mm and a width of 15-25 mm to be 7 mm long and 10 mm wide.
