Abstract

The sewing process at PT Sejin Fashion Indonesia implements a batchflow production system. In the sewing process, the operator must complete up to 6 pairs of products before proceeding to the next process. The Batchflow system that runs in the sewing process has problems that arise, namely the accumulation of Work in Process (WIP) in each sewing process. In the sewing process there is a buildup of 2-3 this has an impact on the high total production process time. This study aims to analyze WIP and measure the time in each work process in the batchflow system. So as to know how the application of one pair flow system in the sewing process the method used in this study was the time study method, which is a method of measuring working time using a stopwatch at each sewing process. The application of One Pairs Flow is supported by technical aspects, namely feeding point rack and visualization. Based on the results of the application of One Pairs Flow, it can be seen that the Batchflow system has a waiting time of 2,213. 47 seconds from the total sewing process time of 2897. 37 seconds. Meanwhile, the One Pairs Flow system only has a waiting time of 45. 95 seconds from the total sewing process time of 697,46 seconds faster than batch flow. This comparison shows that the One Pairs Flow system is able to reduce waiting time and speed up the total process time so that it can facilitate work flow and reduce WIP in the sewing process.
