Abstract

PT. Kharisma Baru Indonesia merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi sepatu lokal dan ekspor yang mempunyai banyak model sepatu, salah satunya adalah Minami. Produksi sepatu harus menerapkan standar mutu yang bagus pada setiap proses pembuatan sepatu, terutama dalam proses jahit karena sangat menentukan kualitas sepatu. Dalam penelitian ini, teknik pengambilan data yang dilakukan adalah dengan cara: observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, studi pustaka. Karya akhir yang dilaksanakan di PT. Kharisma Baru Indonesia pada tanggal 11 Februari sampai dengan 12 April 2019 dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui permasalahan pada proses jahit upper sepatu Santica style Minami. Proses perakitan upper dikerjakan dalam beberapa tahap yaitu jahit variasi, jahit eyestay, jahit belakang, hammer, jahit nat collar, jahit busa, jahit lidah, jahit strap, dan finishing. Hasil analisis menunjukkan permasalahan yang sering terjadi pada proses stitching upper adalah wrinkle pada linning collar. Faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya cacat pada upper sepatu yaitu faktor manusia, mesin, material, metode, dan lingkungan. Usulan perbaikan untuk meminimalisir terjadinya cacat wrinkle pada hasil upper yaitu memberi jarak busa dari topline ±7mm, memberikan tanda marking untuk memudahkan pada saat penempelan, mengoleskan lem pada busa dan topline supaya busa tidak bergeser pada saat dijahit. PT. Kharisma Baru Indonesia is a firm that produces a local and an export shoe and it has lots of the design of shoes, for example the design of Minami. To produce the shoes needs to be a good standard quality, particularly in the process of stitching because it can affect the quality of shoes. This research used the technical of taking data, such as: the observation, the interview, taking documentation, getting involved to the work field, case study, and internet. The latter activity that was held at PT. Kharisma Baru Indonesia on February 11th, 2019 till April 12th, 2019 aimed to find out the problem on the stitching upper’s process of the Santica shoes with the Minami style. The processes of upper’s manufacture are the variant sewing, the eyestay sewing, the back sewing, hammer, the linning collar sewing, the foam sewing, the rag sewing, the strap sewing, and the last is finishing. The result of analysis stated the matter that is often occurred on the process of stitching upper is wrinkle and linning collar. There are many factors that provoked a blemish of upper are human, machine, material, method, and the environment. The suggestions to minimalize a blemish of wrinkle to upper are giving a foam space from its topline so that the foam does not range while it was sewn.
