Abstract

Tugas akhir ini mengkaji tentang penyelesaian masalah perakitan komponen apron dengan vamp wing pada jenis sepatu open moccasin, yang ditemukan pada pelaksanaan magang di PT. Sepatu Mas Idaman. Pengamatan dilakukan pada produksi sepatu moccasin. Permasalahan tersebut merupakan suatu kondisi konstruksi moccasin pada perakitan apron dengan vamp wing terbuka atau tidak saling merekat antara ujung apron dengan vamp wing. Tujuan dari penulisan tugas akhir ini yaitu mengidentifikasi permasalahan, menemukan penyebab, solusi atas masalah yang terjadi, dan hasil implementasi. Materi tugas akhir yaitu masalah perakitan komponen apron dengan vamp wing pada jenis sepatu open moccasin. Untuk menyelesaikan masalah, digunakan diagram fish bone sebagai metode analisis masalah. Penyebab dari masalah perakitan komponen apron dengan vamp wing pada jenis sepatu open moccasin adalah material tidak standar (kulit keriput dan kulit dengan thickness tidak sama), teknik proses produksi secara manual berdasarkan perkiraan, setting mesin tidak standar, operator kurang mengikuti SOP, operator kurang skill dan penggunaan peralatan tidak standar. Berdasarkan penyebab yang ditemukan, maka didapatkan solusi yaitu (1) melakukan penggantian selang penjepit moccasin, (2) bekerja sama dengan departemen QC (Quality Control) untuk selalu melaksanakan pengecekan suhu pada proses pemanasan dan pendinginan sepatu, (3) bekerja sama dengan departemen MPE (Manufacturing Product Engineer) untuk memberikan coaching atau pelatihan kembali kepada operator pada proses cutting, skiving dan pengolesan lem primer, membuatkan ilustrasi proses skiving yang standar. Setelah melakukan upaya penyelesaian masalah, terjadi penurunan reject/repair pada perakitan komponen apron dengan vamp wing pada jenis sepatu open moccasin. This final assignment examines the solution of assembling the apron with the vamp wing component on the open moccasin shoe type, which is found in the implementation of the internship at PT. Sepatu Mas Idaman. The Problem is a condition of moccasin construction on apron assembly with an vamp wing open or is not adhere between the end of the apron and the vamp wing. The purpose of this final assignment is to identify problems, find the cause of the problem that occur and give the solution to the problem, and results of implementation. The material of this final assignment is assembling the apron with the vamp wing component on the open moccasin shoe type problem. To solve the problem, a fish bone diagram is used as a method of problem analysis. The cause of open moccasin shoe type problem in assembling the apron with the vamp wing components is that components is that the material is not standard (wrinkled leather and different thickness of the leather), the technique of manual production is based on estimation, the machine setting is not standard, the operators did not fully follow the SOP, the operator has the less skill and the use of equipment which are not standard. Based on the cause found, the solutions offered are to (1) substitute hose clamp rutinly. (2) build a collaboration with the QC (Quality Control) department always to do checking the temperature in the process of heating and cooling of the shoes, (3) and make a collaboration with the MPE (Manufacturing Product Engineer) department to provide coaching or briefing to the operators in cutting, skiving and glueing processes, as well as illustrating the skiving process which is standard. After making efforts to solve the problems, there is the decline of reject/repair in assembling the apron with the vamp wing component on the open moccasin shoe type.
