Abstract

PT. Pratama Abadi Industri merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di industri sepatu khususnya memproduksi sepatu sport. Dalam pembuatan sepatu sport terdiri dari beberapa proses, salah satunya adalah proses cutting. Pada bagian cutting terdapat masalah yaitu hasil proses dari bagian cutting yaitu hasil potongan material yang berserabut (hairy). Pengamatan dilakukan di PT. Pratama Abadi Industri Tangerang, Banten selama 2 bulan dimulai dari tanggal 18 Februari sampai dengan 25 April 2019. Materi yang diamati yaitu pada proses cutting bagian upper sepatu. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dengan staf dan karyawan yang terkait, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Berdasarkan pengamatan di departemen cutting ditemukan jenis cacat yang terjadi antara lain berserabut (hairy), gompal (rompes), noda (stain) dan bonding. Hasil pemotongan material berserabut (hairy) merupakan permasalahan yang paling banyak terjadi. Faktor penyebab hasil potongan material yang berserabut disebabkan dari faktor manusia yaitu kurang memperhatikam SOP pemotongan material. Sedangkan dari faktor alat yaitu dikarenakan cutting dies yang berkarat, cutting dies yang tumpul, cutting dies yang gompal dan cutting board tidak rata. Solusi untuk pemecahan masalah yang terjadi pada proses cutting adalah dengan cara memperbaiki tempat penyimpanan cutting dies, pemberian lilin pada cutting dies bertujuan untuk mencegah cutting dies dari karat, dan pengecatan ulang pada cutting dies yang mulai mengelupas sehingga proses korosi pada cutting dies bisa dicegah, serta penyerutan pada cutting board bertujuan untuk membuat cutting board rata kembali dan melakukan inspeksi kelayakan cutting dies secara berkala. Perusahaan sebaiknya juga meningkatkan pengawasan terhadap pelaksanaan SOP pemotongan material. PT. Pratama Abadi Industri is one of the companies engaged in the shoe industry, especially in producing sports shoes. In making sports shoes consists of several processes, one of which is the cutting process. In the cutting section there is a problem that is the result of the process of cutting that is the result of pieces of stringy material (hairy). Observations were made at PT. Pratama Abadi Industri Tangerang, Banten for 2 months starting from February 18 until April 25, 2019. The material observed was in the process of cutting the upper part of the shoe. The method used is observation, interviews with staff and related employees, documentation and literature study. Based on observations in the cutting department found types of defects that occur including stringy (hairy), chipped (rompes), stains (stain) and bonding. The result of cutting stringy material (hairy) is the most common problem. Factors causing the results of filamentous material pieces are caused by human factors, namely lack of attention to the SOP of cutting material. While the tool factor is due to rusty cutting dies, blunt cutting dies, chipped cutting dies and uneven cutting boards. The solution to solving problems that occur in the cutting process is by improving the storage place of the cutting dies, giving wax to the cutting dies aims to prevent the cutting dies from rust, and repainting the cutting dies that start to peel so that the corrosion process on the cutting dies can be prevented, and shrinkage on the cutting board aims to make the cutting board flat again and conduct a regular inspection dies worthiness. The company should also increase supervision of the implementation of material cutting SOP.
