Abstract

PT. Sepatu Bata merupakan perusahaan industri manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang persepatuan, salah satunya yang memproduksi Men Shoes dengan merk Bata. Pada saat pelaksanaan magang, permasalahan yang ada di PT. Sepatu Bata yaitu cacat pada upper sepatu derby yang disebabkan oleh terjadinya X-Ray, berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut penulis mengambil judul untuk Karya Akhir ini adalah “Mengatasi Permasalahan X-Ray Pada Upper Sepatu Derby Artikel 821-6444 di PT. Sepatu Bata, Tbk Jakarta Selatan”. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data primer yang terdiri dari teknik observasi, teknik interview dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan data sekunder yaitu dari teknik kepustakaan. Proses perakitan sepatu diawali dengan pemotongan bahan, selanjutnya adalah proses stitching menyatukan antar komponen, sebelum dilasting, upper dipasang pengeras depan (toe puff) dan pengeras belakang (stiffener) dan dilakukan proses press agar pengeras dapat meleleh dan dapat mengikuti bentuk upper sepatu. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya X-Ray adalah pada proses perlakuan terhadap toe puff yang kurang tipis dan kurang lebar, penipisan toe puff menggunakan mesin amplas sehingga hasil penipisan tidak konsisten. Proses perbaikan dan mengurangi tingkat cacat X-Ray adalah dengan memperbaiki proses penyesetan toe puff. PT. Sepatu Bata is a manufacturing industry company engaged in footwear, one of which produces Men Shoes with the brand Bata. At the time of the internship, the problems that existed at PT. Sepatu Bata are defects in the upper derby shoes caused by x-ray. Based on the these problems the authors took the title of this final assignment is To Resolve The X-Ray Problem On The Upper Derby Shoes Article 821-6444 at PT. Sepatu Bata,Tbk South Jakarta. Observation techniques, interview techniques and documentation are techniques to collect primary data. Literature techniques are techniques to collect secondary data.. The shoe assembly process begins with cutting the material, then the stitching process brings together the components, before lasting, installed toe puffs and the stiffener into the upper and the press process is done so the hardener can melt and can follow the upper shape of the shoe. The factors that influence the occurrence of X-Ray are the process of treatment of toe puff that is not thin and wide, thinning of toe puff using a sandpaper machine, so the results of thinning are not consisten. The process of repairing and reducing the level of X-Ray defects is by improving the toe puff process.
