Abstract

Meningkatnya jumlah UKM/IKM alas kaki di Indonesia mendorong pemerintah, khususnya Kementerian Perindustrian untuk mendukung produktivitas industri kecil dan menengah (IKM) khususnya pada bidang alas kaki. Pemerintah melalui Balai Pengembangan Industri Persepatuan Indonesia, mengedukasi para pelaku IKM untuk meningkatkan daya saing produknya dengan memperkenalkan teknik shoe finish . Shoe finish di perkenalkan BPIPI pada Bimtek Pembuatan Prototype Alas Kaki. Proses shoe finish yang dilakukan secara manual menyebabkan banyaknya ketidakrapian yang terjadi. Pada karya akhir ini, penulis bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebab terjadinya ketidakrapian shoe finish dan mencari solusi agar hasil shoe finish menjadi rapi. Materi yang dibahas dalam karya akhir ini adalah sepatu sneaker dengan Upper berbahan kulit crust yang akan diwarnai dan finishing di Balai Pengembangan Industri Persepatuan Indonesia (BPIPI). Metode pemecahan masalah untuk karya akhir adalah eksperimen yang dilakukan dilapangan. Pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, dokumentasi, studi literatur dan observasi. Hasil pengamatan masalah pada proses pengumpulan data teridentifikasi bahwa ditemukan ketidakrapian berupa cat pewarna yang merembes pada sole yang terbungkus paper tape, sole yang kotor akibat sisa perekat paper tape yang tertinggal saat proses pelepasan dan merembesnya cat pewarna pada komponen upper. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh bahan pembungkus sole berupa paper tape dan penerapan teknik pewarnaan yang tidak tepat. Solusi berdasarkan eksperimen yang telah dilaksanakan yaitu penggantian paper tape dengan krim sepatu dan penerapan teknik pewarnaan sebelum cutting. The manual shoe finish process causes a lot of impermanence to occur. In this final work, the author aims to understand why there is a mess of shoe finish and find a solution so that the shoe finish result are neat. The material discussed in this final work is sneaker shoes with crust leather upper which is will be colored and finishing at the Indonesian Footwear Development Center. The problem solving methods for final works are experiments carried out in the field. Data collection includes interview literature study documentation and obsession. The observation of the problem in the process of collecting data was identified that there was found an impurity in the form of coloring paint that seeped onto the sole wrapped in the paper tape, the sole which was dirty due to the remaining paper tape left behind during the release process and the dye paint seeping on the upper component. This is caused by the paper wrap material and the application of improper coloring techniques. Solutions based on experiments that have been carried out are the replacement of paper tape with shoe cream and the application of coloring techniques before cutting.
