Abstract

PT. Purnama Jaya Sidoarjo adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang persepatuan. Di PT.Purnama Jaya Sidoarjo proses sewing terdiri dari beberapa tahap. Tahap pertama adalah pengeleman komponen-komponen upper, kemudian penempelan lining upper dengan badan upper, jahit bagian badan upper dengan eyestay depan dan belakang, jahit bagian back counter dengan eyestay belakang, jahit bagian tongue dengan lining tongue, jahit velcro depan dan belakang, jahit bagian collar lining dengan upper, pemasangan foam collar, terakhir pasang r/f back counter. Karya akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab permasalahan proses sewing upper sepatu sport artikel Justin pada bagian collar upper dan tidak tercapainya target produksi sepatu. Materi yang diamati adalah teknik mengatasi cacat pada pembuatan upper sepatu sport artikel Justin. Dalam pelaksanaan Karya Akhir, metode yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan data dan informasi adalah data premier meliputi metode observasi,metode wawancari, metode dokumentasi, metode kerja lapangan dan data sekunder meliputi metode study pustaka. Sewing merupakan perakitan komponen-komponen upper yang dijahit sehingga membentuk bagian atas sepatu/upper. Pada upper sepatu sport artikel Justin ditemukan permasalahan sobeknya collar upper pada bagian top line dan cacat jahitan melompat. Ada dua hal yang menyebabkan terjadinya permasalahan pada collar upper yaitu penjahitan lining collar dengan badan upper terlalu menepi, pada proses pemasangan foam collar terlalu menarik collar lining, sedangkan penyebab jahitan melompat dikarenakan saat penyetelah mesin jahit benang terlalu ketat sehingga dapat menimbulkan permasalahan dan permasalahan pada penempelan lining upper dengan badan upper. Kemudian solusi yang ambil dari masalah tersebut adalah dengan memberi arahan pada karyawan agar lebih berhati-hati dan memperhatikan ketentuan menjahit, memberi arahan pada karyawan standart pengoprasional mesin jahit. Memindahkan bagian yang sedang tidak ada kerjaan kebagian yang kerjaan terlalu menumpuk guna mencapai target suatu produksi. Sehingga kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari karya akhir ini adalah mengetahui proses perakitan upper, mengidentifikasi masalah cacat pada upper sepatu dari cacat collar 198pcs (11%), cacat pada jahitan melompat 72 (4%), dan tidak tercapainya target produksi 1.404 pcs dari 1.800pcs. Setelah dilakukannya perbaikan cacat berkurang menjadi 144pcs (8%) untuk cacat pada collar, untuk cacat jahitan meloncat menjadi 18pcs (1%), dan untuk target produksi semakin meningkat menjadi 1.674pcs (93%) dari 1.800pcs. PT. Purnama Jaya Sidoarjo is a shoe company. In PT. Purnama Jaya sewing process is consist of some steps. The first step is gluing followed by sticking some upper components, the next step attacment lining upper with body upper,sticking of body upper with eyestay fornt and back, sticking of back counter with eyestay back, sticking of tongue with lining tongue, sticking velcro front and back, sticking of collar lining with upper, asssembling foam collar, and back counter, assembling of upper lining, foam, and the last process is assembling of R/F back counter. This final paper aims to find out the causes of problems with the sewing process of Justin's sport shoes in the upper collar and not achieving the shoe production target. The material observed was the technique of overcoming defects in the manufacturing of Justin's sport shoes. In the implementation of the Final Work, the method used to obtain data and information is premier data covering the observation method, the interview method, the documentation method, the field work method and the secondary data including the literature study method. Sewing is an assembly of upper components that are sewn to form the upper part of the shoe / upper. In the upper sport shoes Justin's article found the problem of torn upper collar on the top line and jump stitch defects. There are two things that cause problems in the upper collar, namely stitching the lining collar with the upper body too pulled over, in the process of installing the foam collar too pulling the lining collar, while the cause of the jumping stitching is caused when the sewing machine is too tight so that it can cause problems and problems in sticking upper lining with upper body. Then the solution taken from the problem is to give direction to employees to be more careful and pay attention to sewing requirements, give direction to employees in operating standard sewing machines. Move the part that is not working to the part that work is too piling up to reach the target of a production. So that the conclusions that can be drawn from this final work are knowing the upper assembly process, identifying problems with upper shoe defects from 198pcs (11%) collar defects, jumping 72 (4%) defects, and not achieving the production target of 1,404 pcs out of 1,800pcs . After repairing the defect was reduced to 144pcs (8%) for the collar defects, for the stitch defect jumped to 18pcs (1%), and for the production target it increased to 1,674pcs (93%) from 1,800pcs.
