Abstract

CV. Linda Jaya Leather merupakan perusahaan kulit yang terletak di Garut, Jawa Barat. Perusahaan ini bergerak dalam bidang pengolahan kulit, dari kulit mentah menjadi kulit finish (leather). Metode pengambilan data yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi, interview, praktik kerja langsung, dan studi pustaka. Kegiatan pelaksanaan Tugas Akhir bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalah pada tahapan dyeing kulit sapi artikel upper nubuck, yakni waktu penetrasi dalam menembuskan dyestuff ke penampang kulit (2-3 jam). Bahan baku yang digunakan untuk perbaikan formulasi adalah 1 side kulit wet blue sapi dengan berat 1,88 Kg. Sedangkan bahan pembantu yang digunakan adalah lavelling agent (Coralon OT) dan Amonia, serta dyestuff yang digunakan yaitu Sella Fast Beige GL. Metode tahapan dyeing yang digunakan untuk artikel upper nubuck adalah metode through dyeing. Hasil kulit diperoleh dyestuff terpenetrasi hingga penampang kulit selama 60 menit dan kulit berwarna kuning kecoklatan. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penetrasi dyestuff adalah jenis dan sifat cat dasar, temperatur, konsentrasi, kecepatan putaran drum, bahan pembantu, dan TIE (Titik Iso Elektrik). Hasil pengujian upper nubuck terhadap kelunturan warna yang dilakukan di BBKKP dengan metode uji ketahanan gosok kain basah memiliki nilai grey scale 3 (berarti luntur) menjadi 3/4 (berarti luntur sedang) untuk kain basah dan nilai greyscale 3/4 (berarti luntur sedang) menjadi 4 (berarti sedikit luntur) untuk kain kering. Dapat diketahui bahwa standar ISO 20433 : 2012 mengenai uji ketahanan gosok basah dan kering memiliki standar yang lebih tinggi yaitu tidak luntur atau bernilai 5. Hasil uji yang diperoleh bahwa kelunturan warna kulit yang dihasilkan belum sesuai dengan ISO. CV. Linda Jaya Leather is a leather company located in Garut, West Java. This company is engaged in processing skin from raw skin. The method of data retrievel used is the method of observation, interviews, direct work practices, and literature study. This Final Project activity discusses the problem in the cow skin dyeing stage for upper nubuck article, the length of time of penetration in passing dyes to the cross section of the skin (2-3 hours). The raw material used to improve the formulation is 1 side of moist blue cow skin weighing 1.88 Kg. While the auxiliary materials used are lavelling agents (Coralon OT) and Ammonia, and the dyes used are Sella Fast Beige GL. The dyeing method used to make the upper nubuck article is through dyeing method. The skin is obtained by penetrating dyes to the skin for 60 minutes and the skin is brownish yellow in color. The factors that influence the penetration of dyes are the type and nature of the dyes, temperature, concentration, speed of drum rotation, auxiliary material, and TIE (Electrical Iso Point). The results of the nubuck test for color fading done in BBKKP with the wet cloth rubbing testing method have a gray scale value of 3 (means it fades) to 3/4 (means moderate fade) for wet cloth and gray 3/4 (means medium fade) to 4 (means it fades slightly) for dry cloth. In accordance with ISO 20433: 2012 standards regarding wet and dry rubbing resistance tests have a higher standard not in accordance with the standard or standard 5. The test results obtained are in accordance with the smoothness of the skin color produced not in accordance with ISO.
