Abstract

PT. Toezone Indo merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri manufacturing khususnya sepatu dan sandal anak. Dalam memproduksi sepatu dan sandal terdiri dari beberapa proses, salah satunya adalah proses printing. Pada bagian proses printing upper di PT. Toezone Indo terdapat masalah penggunaan cat yang kurang efisien saat pencampuran warna, sehingga cat yang digunakan tersisa. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan kerugian di perusahaan karena penumpukan sisa cat yang baru dibuat dan cat yang lama tersimpan di chemical room tidak semuanya digunakan kembali untuk proses printing, sehingga sisa cat mengering dan kedaluwarsa. Selain itu pada proses pencampuran warna hanya menggunakan perkiraan (feeling) karena belum ada standar atau ketentuan takaran penggunaan cat yang dibutuhkan, menyebabkan kelebihan cat karena tidak sesuai dengan jumlah kebutuhan yang digunakan. Dan pada bagian PPIC kesulitan menghitung jumlah kebutuhan cat untuk printing, sehingga sulit untuk mengontrol persediaan cat di chemical room. Pengamatan dilakukan di PT. Toezone Indo, Bandung, Jawa Barat selama 2 bulan. Materi yang diamati yaitu pada proses printing sepatu dan sandal anak bagian upper. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dengan staff dan karyawan yang terkait, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Berdasarkan hasil pengumpulan data, didapatkan faktor penyebab dari permasalahan tersebut yaitu penggunaan cat yang kurang efisien saat pencampuran warna pada proses printing upper. Solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada yaitu dengan membuat standar atau ketentuan takaran penggunaan cat pada proses pencampuran warna untuk kebutuhan printing sepatu dan sandal, sehingga penggunaan cat lebih efisien, memudahkan proses pencampuran warna, dan mengetahui perhitungan jumlah kebutuhan cat yang digunakan dalam proses printing. PT. Toezone Indo is a company engaged in the manufacturing industry, especially children's shoes and sandals. In producing shoes and sandals consisting of several processes, one of which is the printing process. In the upper printing process section at PT. Toezone Indo has a problem using paint that is less efficient when mixing colors, so the paint used is left over. This can cause losses in the company because the accumulation of newly created paint and old paint stored in the chemical room are not all reused for the printing process, so the remaining paint dries and expires. In addition, the color mixing process only uses feeling because there are no standards or provisions for the use of paint required, causing excess paint because it does not match the number of needs used. And in the PPIC section it is difficult to calculate the amount of paint needed for printing, so it is difficult to control the supply of paint in a chemical room. Observations were made at PT. Toezone Indo, Bandung, West Java for 2 months. The material observed was in the process of printing shoes and upper sandals for children. The method used is observation, interviews with relevant staff and employees, documentation and literature. Based on the results of data collection, it was found that the causes of these problems were the use of paint that was less efficient when mixing colors on the upper printing process. The solution to overcome the existing problems is by making a standard or provision of paint usage in the color mixing process for printing shoes and sandals, so that the use of paint is more efficient, facilitates the color mixing process, and knows the calculation of the amount of paint used in the printing process.
