Abstract

Proses pembuatan kulit nubuck upper menggunakan bahan baku kulit sapi wet blue yang memiliki kualitas A terjadi penurunan kualitas menjadi grade B dan C. Kulit mempunyai ketebalan 1,4 – sampai dengan 1,6 mm dengan berat kulit setelah shaving 250 kg dan jumlah 92 side. Pada proses retanning menggunakan metode medium float yang menggunakan air sebanyak 100 – 200% yang diharapkan penetrasi bahan penyamak ulang tinggi dan merata. Proses buffing pada pembuatan artikel nubuck upper menggunakan kertas amplas ukuran 500, 900, 1000. Pada proses buffing yang dilakukan hingga 3x amplas hingga memunculkan effect bulu halus kemudian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kulit nubuck upper memiliki daya kuat tarik sebesar 19,88 N/m dan ujian kemuluran sebesar 20,09%,. Sehingga perlu upaya untuk untuk menambah kekuatan tarik supaya sesuai dengan SNI, dan dapat digunakan sebagai kulit atasan sepatu yang baik. Making process of nubuck upper skin using a wet blue cow’s skin as a main ingredient that has A quality, decreased into B and C. The skin is 1,4 mm until 1,6 mm thick with the skin’s weight is 250 kg after shaving and 92 side total. In retanning process with medium float method that using 100-200% water, the penetration of tanner ingredient expected to mixed equality. Buffing process of making nubuck upper’s article is using 500, 900, 1000 size sandpaper. In buffing process which conducted until 3 times sandpaper to make a fuzzy effect then it cloud be concluded if nubuck upper’s skin has a 19,8 N/m stong pull force and tested that it cloud be stretched until 20,09%. Therefore, it needs effort to add some more pull force to make it qualified as SNI and can be use as a upper skin of good shoes.
