Abstract

Tujuan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk meningkatkan efisiensi proses pewarnaan melalui perbaikan kontrol proses netralisasi. Kontrol proses netralisasi di Jogja Kurnia Leather hanya pada larutan netral saja. Perbaikan kontrol proses dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi pH kulit menggunakan indikator BCG. Bahan baku yang digunakan dalam proses perbaikan (trial) adalah 9 lembar kulit kambing wet blue dengan luas total 75 sqft dan tebal 0,7-0,8 mm. Pengamatan hasil dilakukan dengan memotong penampang kulit setelah proses dyeing dan mengidentifikasi penetrasi cat ke dalam kulit. efisiensi waktu diukur dengan membandingkan waktu netralisasi dan dyeing pada perlakuan sebelum dan sesudah perbaikan kontrol proses. Berdasarkan pengamatan diketahui bahwa setelah melakukan perbaikan kontrol proses, lama waktu dyeing yang dibutuhkan menjadi lebih cepat. Pada perbaikan kontrol proses, lama waktu netralisasi 50 menit dan dyeing 2 jam. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa, meskipun waktu netral lebih lama, namun waktu dyeing lebih cepat dan target tercapai. Dengan demikian bisa disimpulkan bahwa perbaikan kontrol proses berpengaruh pada efisiensi proses dyeing. The purpose of this final project is to improve the efficiency of the coloring process through improved control of the neutralization process. Control the neutralization process in Jogja Kurnia Leather only in neutral solutions. Improved process control is carried out by identifying the pH of the skin using the BCG indicator. The raw material used in the repair process (trial) is 9 pieces of wet blue goat skin with a total area of 75 sqft and 0.7-0.8 mm thick. Observation of the results is done by cutting the cross section of the skin after the dyeing process and identifying the penetration of the paint into the skin. time efficiency was measured by comparing the neutralization and dyeing times in the treatment before and after process control improvements. Based on observations it is known that after improving process control, the required dyeing time is faster. On the improvement of process control, the neutralization time is 50 minutes and dyeing 2 hours. This shows that, although the neutral time is longer, the dyeing time is faster and the target is reached. Thus it can be concluded that improvement in process control has an effect on the efficiency of the dyeing process.
