Abstract

Tujuan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan pembantu (Auxiliaries) pada proses pewarnaan dasar untuk kulit sapi artikel CGB Atasan Sepatu di UD. Sumber Abadi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan Tugas Akhir meliputi praktek kerja langsung, observasi, dan interview. Bahan baku yang digunakan adalah kulit sapi wet-blue dengan tebal 1,5 mm dan luas kulit 1 sqft dengan berat 502 gram. Bahan pembantu yang digunakan untuk artikel kulit sapi wet-blue CGB Atasan Sepatu seperti air, bahan pembantu (Sincal MS), dyestuff (Havana R). Metode penyelesaian masalah yang dilakukan berupa perbaikan proses pewarnaan dasar dengan menggunakan bahan pembantu (Sincal MS). Tahapan proses pasca tanning meliputi wetting back, rechrome, netralizing, retanning, dyeing, fatliquoring, dan fixing. Hasil yang diperoleh dengan metode trial yang menggunakan bahan pembantu (Sincal MS) menunjukan bahwa penggunaan Sincal MS 2% mampu membuat warna permukaan kulit rata dan tembus (Through dyess). Sedangkan yang tidak menggunakan Sincal MS atau metode standar hasil yang didapatkan terlihat bahwa dyestuff tidak tembus sampai kepenampang kulit, dikarenakan kurang optimalnya waktu pemutaran drum yang dilakukan pada proses tersebut. Hasil dari penggunaan metode standar dan trial dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan bahan pembantu (Sincal MS) dapat mempercepat penetrasi dan membuat warna lebih rata. The purpose of this final project is to determine the effect of auxiliaries on the basic coloring process for cow leather articles on CGB Upper Shoes at UD. Eternal Source. The methods used in the Final Project activities include direct work practices, observations, and interviews. The raw material used is wet-blue cow leather with a thickness of 1.5 mm and a skin area of 1 square with a weight of 502 grams. Auxiliary materials used for articles cow skin wet-blue CGB Upper Shoes such as water, auxiliary materials (Sincal MS), dyestuff (Havana R). The problem solving method is in the form of repairing the basic coloring process using auxiliary materials (Sincal MS). The stages of post-tanning processes include wetting back, rechrome, netralizing, retanning, dyeing, fatliquoring, and fixing. The results obtained by the trial method using auxiliary materials (Sincal MS) showed that the use of 2% Sincal MS was able to make the surface color of the skin flat and translucent (Through dyess). Whereas those who did not use Sincal MS or the standard method of the results obtained showed that dyestuff was not translucent until the cross section of the skin, due to the less optimal drum playback time performed in the process. The results of the use of standard methods and trials can be concluded that the use of auxiliary materials (Sincal MS) can accelerate penetration and make colors more flat.
