Abstract

Produk bantalan dermaga harus memenuhi spesifikasi sesuai standar dan permintaan konsumen. Formulasi kompon karet bantalan dermaga milik perusahaan mengalami kendala tidak memenuhi persyaratan sesuai dengan SNI 06-3568-2006 Vulkanisat Kompon Bantalan Dermaga. Tujuan tugas akhir ini untuk meningkatkan sifat mekanik kompon bantalan dermaga menggunakan bahan pengisi non reinforcing reclaimed rubber dengan variasi 50 phr, 35 phr, 15 phr, dan 0 phr. Kemudian, memperoleh harga kompon bantalan dermaga yang ekonomis. Pengujian sifat mekanik meliputi kekuatan tarik, perpanjangan putus, ketahanan sobek, dan kekerasan. Hasil percobaan menunjukan semakin meningkat nilai phr reclaimed rubber maka nilai kekuatan tarik, perpanjangan putus, ketahanan sobek, dan kekerasan vulkanisat karet semakin menurun. Hal ini disebabkan tidak sempurnanya proses devulkanisasi reclaimed rubber, sehingga menyebabkan berkurangnya sifat-sifat mekanik. Harga kompon bantalan dermaga variasi 15 phr sebesar Rp 26.455,46 merupakan harga yang ekonomis. The purpose of this final project is to improve the mechanical properties of the pier bearing compound using non-reinforcing reclaimed rubber fillers with variations of 50 phr, 35 phr, 15 phr, and 0 phr. Then, obtain the economical price of the pier bearing compound. The mechanical properties tested included tensile strength, elongation at break, tear strength, and hardness. The experimental results showed that as the phr value of reclaimed rubber increased, the value of tensile strength, elongation at break, tear strength, and hardness of vulcanized rubber decreased. This is due to the imperfect devulcanization process of reclaimed rubber, thus causing a reduction in mechanical properties. The price of the pier bearing compound of the 15 phr variation of IDR 26,455.46 is an economical price. Keywords: quay bearing, reclaimed rubber, mechanical properties.
