Abstract

PT Daimatu Industry Indonesia is one of the manufacturing companies engaged in footwear, especially sandals. One of the sandals produced at PT Daimatu Industry Indonesia is the Oaks field sandal ZYGFOF-303. In the production process in the hosei (sewing) section, a problem was found about the error in marking the glue boundary on the inside of the upper which caused the upper to be loose. The purpose of preparing this Final Project is to find out the production process of Oaks sandals field ZYGFOF-303 and analyze the causes of problems and find solutions to these problems. The data collection method used is primary data collection in the form of observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and secondary data in the form of literature studies. The problem solving method used is Design. Fishbone diagram, to analyze the cause of the loose upper problem. The crucial factor in this problem is the method factor, namely the inefficient work sequence because the process of marking the boundary glue is carried out after the buckle sewing process which causes the pattern / mall not to stick perfectly because it is blocked by the buckle, and the marking of the mall is not appropriate because the marking process should be upright hand position while the operator does it with an inclined hand position. The proposed solution to solve the loose upper problem is the rearrangement of the work process (SOP) in the hosei section, which stipulates that the marking process is carried out first, followed by buckle sewing, so that the mall/pattern can stick perfectly and optimum.
