Abstract

PT Berkah Melimpah Bahagia in Bantul, Yogyakarta. is a company in the footwear sector that certainly has good quality shoes. The main problem is the frequent occurrence of dirty stains on the upper part of the shoe during the production process, especially in the finishing stage, which can reduce product quality. This study aims to study the shoe manufacturing process, analyze the factors causing dirty stains, and provide solutions to overcome them. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, documentation, and industrial work practices. Data analysis uses a problem-solving approach with problem identification, data collection, analysis, and drawing conclusions, and utilizing fishbone diagrams to find the root cause. The identified causes of dirty stains include the absence of SOPs for hand hygiene and machine maintenance, as well as the use of inappropriate cleaning fluids such as harsh SBP. Poor worker hand hygiene, causing the transfer of stains such as glue, dust, or oil to the surface of the shoe. Lack of machine maintenance that causes dirt accumulation. Dust in a semi-open factory environment. As a solution, this study focuses on the implementation of a shoe cleaner kit with the "Hoper Shine Solution" formulation designed for various shoe materials. It is expected that this solution can improve cleaning efficiency and the quality of the final product in a sustainable manner.. Keywords: dirt stain defects, production finishing, shoe cleaner kit.
