Abstract

PT Primarindo Asia Infrastructure Tbk. is a sneaker manufacturer in Bandung, West Java. One of its products is the "TOMKINS" brand, featuring the Axel women's white/pink colorway. The production process, particularly the sublimation process, has encountered problems with sublimation defects, including film ink overflow, lack of sharpness, and incomplete adhesion. The purpose of this final project is to identify the causes of these sublimation defects and propose solutions to address these issues. The methods used include primary and secondary data collection, as well as experimental problem-solving. The analysis used a fishbone diagram to map the causal factors, including human factors, methods, machines, materials, and the environment. The analysis showed that sublimation defects were caused by dust or bacterial contamination during the sublimation process. The proposed solution is to implement a cleaning method using solvents throughout the sublimation process, including the materials, machine plates, and the environment.
